How to generate a starter privacy policy for a small site
Enter site identity
"Site name" and "Contact email" appear at the top of the generated policy and in the contact-us section. Use the legal name of the entity that owns the site if there is one — visitors need a real party to hold accountable.
Press Run
Result returns a single `markdown` field with a multi-section policy: data collected, cookies, third parties, retention, user rights, contact. Section headings are H2; you can paste it straight into a Markdown-aware page.
What it covers, what it doesn't
Boilerplate suitable for personal sites and tiny SaaS. It does NOT mention GDPR specifics, CCPA opt-out flows, COPPA child data, HIPAA health data, or industry-specific regulations. Anything serious needs a lawyer.
After generation
Replace placeholders (specific cookies, third-party services like Google Analytics or Stripe, retention windows) with reality. An out-of-date policy is worse than no policy — set a review reminder, e.g. quarterly.
