About Image Quality Enhancer Online

This tool uses AI upscaling to enlarge and sharpen low-resolution images. Unlike simple bilinear or bicubic resizing — which produces a larger but blurry image — AI-based upscalers infer plausible high-frequency detail, producing images that look genuinely higher resolution.

Useful for restoring old family photos, upscaling images for large prints, rescuing screenshots taken at low resolution, sharpening JPEG artifacts in compressed images, or preparing assets for high-DPI displays (Retina, 4K).

The model works best on photographs and natural images. Logos, illustrations, and screenshots with sharp lines may produce different results — try the output and compare to the input before relying on it for production work.

How to use this tool

How to enhance an image

  1. Upload your image

Click the upload area or drag any raster image (JPEG, PNG, WebP, etc.) onto it. The image is processed server-side through Sharp.

  2. Choose an enhancement preset

Select from five presets: Auto enhance (normalise + sharpen), Sharpen (edge sharpening only), Vivid colors (boost saturation + sharpen), HDR look (normalise + saturate + sharpen), or Reduce noise (median filter to smooth grain). Each targets a different flaw.

  3. Set the strength

Drag the Strength slider from 1 (subtle) to 10 (strong). The slider scales the intensity of the chosen preset — start at 5 and adjust after seeing the result.

  4. Download the result

The enhanced image is returned as a high-quality JPEG (92% mozjpeg). Click Download to save it. Run the tool again with a lower strength if the effect looks over-processed.
