How to convert a PDF to Word (.docx)

1. Upload the PDF

   Drop the .pdf into the "PDF file" field. The form also accepts a URL or pasted base64 in the other tabs.

2. What gets extracted

   pdf-parse reads the text layer of the PDF; pdfjs is used under the hood. There's no OCR — image-only / scanned PDFs return no text, just a short notice.

3. Press Run

   Output is a .docx file (filename converted-from-pdf.docx) built with docx from the extracted plain text. The note tells you how many pages were processed and whether text was found.

4. Set realistic expectations

   Only TEXT survives — original layout, tables, fonts, columns, headers/footers, images, and form fields do NOT come over. Use a commercial converter (or rebuild the document in Word) when fidelity matters.
