How to compress an image

1. Upload your image

   Drop the file into the Image field. JPEG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, HEIC, and most other raster formats decode here.

2. Pick the output format

   Format offers JPEG (default), WebP, or PNG. JPEG is universal; WebP is ~25-35% smaller at the same quality; PNG only makes sense for lossless artwork.

3. Set JPEG/WebP quality

   Quality slider runs 30–100 (default 75). 60–80 is the sweet spot for photos; below 50 visible artifacts appear; PNG ignores this value and uses compressionLevel 9.

4. Press Run

   Output is the recompressed file in your chosen format. Compare file size in the result against your source — if the savings are too small, try WebP and a lower quality.
