How to ping a host (TCP-based)

1. Enter the host

   Type a hostname, domain, or public IPv4/IPv6 into the Host field. Up to 253 characters. Private/loopback IPs are rejected.

2. Set the ping count

   "Ping count" controls how many probes run sequentially (1–20, default 4). More probes give a better latency average and packet-loss estimate.

3. Press Run

   ICMP echo is unavailable in this runtime, so each "reply" is actually a TCP connect to port 443 (HTTPS). Reported latency is the connect-handshake round-trip from our server.

4. Read the output

   pingOutput is a classic-ping-style transcript with per-probe latencies, packet-loss percentage, and min/max/average. A 100% loss usually means port 443 is firewalled, not that the host is down.
