How to convert TIFF to GIF

1. Upload your TIFF file

   Click the upload area or drag a TIFF image. The tool processes files locally.

2. Convert

   Press the Convert button. Sharp decodes the TIFF and outputs a static GIF. GIF is limited to a 256-color palette, so photographic images will show visible color reduction.

3. Check the output

   Click Download to save the .gif file. Review the thumbnail first — color banding and dithering artifacts are expected when converting continuous-tone images to GIF's restricted palette.

4. When to use GIF

   GIF is best for simple flat-color graphics, icons, or thumbnails where broad compatibility is required. For photos, PNG or WebP will produce far better quality. This tool outputs static GIFs only.
