About HEIC Converter Online

This tool converts HEIC and HEIF (High-Efficiency Image File Format) images — the default format used by iPhones since iOS 11 — into JPEG, PNG, or WebP. HEIC offers excellent compression but isn't supported by many websites, social platforms, and older operating systems.

Use it to share iPhone photos with friends on non-Apple devices, upload photos to web forms that reject HEIC, send photos to Windows users, or convert your photo library to a more portable format.

The conversion preserves photo quality and embedded metadata (EXIF) by default. You can also strip metadata during conversion if you want to protect your privacy when sharing the converted files.

How to use this tool

How to convert HEIC photos to JPEG

  1. Upload your HEIC

Drop the .heic / .heif file into the Image field. iPhones save photos in this format by default; most non-Apple software can't open it directly.

  2. No options needed

The tool uses a fixed conversion: JPEG output at quality 88 with mozjpeg encoding. There's no slider — these defaults match what most editors expect.

  3. Press Run

Conversion runs server-side. Sharp decodes the HEIC, re-encodes as JPEG, and returns the bytes with mime image/jpeg.

  4. Download and use

Save the .jpg from the result card. The output is universally compatible — open in any viewer, upload to any web service, paste into any document.
