How to download an Instagram profile picture

1. Enter the Instagram username or URL

   Type a username (e.g. @username or just username) or paste the full Instagram profile URL (https://www.instagram.com/username/) into the input field. Both formats are accepted.

2. Fetch the profile picture

   Press the button. The tool resolves the public HD avatar via Instagram's profile API when possible, then falls back to page markup. Only public profile pictures can be retrieved — private accounts are inaccessible.

3. Check availability and quality

   Instagram controls the resolution of its avatars. The tool retrieves the highest-resolution version available. If the account doesn't have a profile picture or the avatar is temporarily unavailable, the tool will report that.

4. Download or save the image

   When the image appears, right-click (or long-press on mobile) and choose Save Image, or use the Download button if one is shown. Profile pictures are served as JPEG images. Note that Instagram may restrict avatar access at any time without notice.
