How to generate Instagram usernames

1. Choose a style

   Pick from three username styles: Word combo (blends two short English roots for a brandable handle), Alphanumeric (uses a–z, 0–9, and underscore for techy/gamer vibes), or Short & catchy (compact handles under ~12 characters). The style determines the character set and construction pattern.

2. Set count and minimum length

   Choose how many usernames to generate (up to 50) and the minimum character length (6–20). A longer minimum length gives you more unique-looking handles but may reduce the chance of availability on Instagram.

3. Generate

   Press Generate. The tool produces a list of usernames matching your style and length constraints. Each result is formatted to fit Instagram's handle rules: only letters, numbers, periods, and underscores.

4. Pick one and check availability

   Scan the list for handles that feel right. Copy a candidate and search for it on Instagram before committing — generated names are not checked for real availability. Combine parts from different suggestions if none feel perfect.
